A Disgusting Post

Okie...Its going to be a disgusting post with gross pictures...Not for the weak hearted or for those who just eaten...lol

No lah...it is not that gross.


Things to prepare for cleaning of wound

Saline to wash my wound

1st layer : Urgotul , it is used to help the wound heal faster

2nd layer : Allevyn, its a thick pad that helps the absorption of liquid

3rd layer : Propax, another thick padding that looks alot like a sanitary pad..to help absorption too.

Last but not least, the cleaning tools...

Removal of bandage

Taking out the rest of the dressing

See the amount of 'liquid'

This is what the nurse usually call a dirty wound

Using a syringe to flush the wound

Then using the swap to clean away all the dead tissue

See the dead tissue on the swap..

After cleaning, you have to put on the other layers and bandage it up again. Usually by then, I would be suffering from pins and needles...
